I was really sad about being away from my family this Thanksgiving especially with all the life changes I have going on. I am so lucky to have family away from family. My cousin Taylor's wife Rikki's aunt lives in NYC and they invited me to their Thanksgiving. It was a lovely day of chatting, and eating, and meeting new people. It wasn't the same as if I had been home but the same comfort was there. I felt at home and at ease with Dona and her friends, and I am so appreciative of their invite.
I am thankful for my parents and brother who always love and support me no matter what decisions I make in my life. They are always there to pick me up when I fall and to build me up when I succeed I couldn't imagine my life without them.
I am grateful for my friends new and old. The ones who have been there with me over the years and seen me through my ups and down's and tolerated me and my moods. My new friends who have made NYC my home and made me feel completely at home in this not so foreign city.
And lastly I am grateful for Bradley. He has been such an amazing part of my life over the past two years and I couldn't imagine a day without him. He is my support when I am down, he is my patience when I have none, and I can honestly say he is the love of my life. He has been such a huge support with all the changes that have been going on the past month and I couldn't even imagine going through one step of this without him by my side. He has taken me into his life, into his heart, and into his family and for that I will be eternally grateful.
So Thank you to my friends old and new, my family blood or made :), and my parents and brother for their constant love and support.
I hope everyone had a fantastic Thanksgiving. Don't forget to tell those who you love why you are grateful for them in your life.
