It's been a while

It's been a while since I have even had any spare time to sit down and think. It's crazy how as you get older the days, weeks, and months just tend to fly by. I have been really focusing on changing the way that I live since the beginning of the year and that with work, and attempting to have somewhat of a social life have left me with no spare time at all!

The biggest thing I have been trying to change this year is my health. I have been very focused on getting in shape and eating healthy. As you can see from the picture to the left I decided it was time to get motivated. What motivates a girl? New work out clothes of course! With my new Under Armor pants, work out gloves, and my gray and hot pink Adidas there is nothing in the world that can stop me!

But I didn't stop there. If I was really going to make the changes that I wanted in my life it was time to cut out the junk and take a serious look at what it is that I am putting into my body. As you can see I completly cleaned out the fridge and there is NO JUNK in sight! The pantry too. I went to Trader Joe's (which if you've ever experienced shopping at Trader Joe's in Union Square you know that it is complete and utter madness)

I have also committed myself to a personal trainer. One of my biggest weaknesses is getting myself to follow through. I want to do it, I think about doing it, but the follow through is always better when I have someone to answer to. I was introduced to my trainer in January by a friend from work. Ashley has been by far the best investment I have ever made. Not only do we work out together we've become really good friends too. I look forward to my training sessions with him (even if the entire time we are working out I am cursing him and telling him how many ways I hate him. I also ask him if he woke up this morning with a new list of ways to torture me!) All jokes aside though he actually makes working out really enjoyable. I suffer from something I like to call WOADD. Also known as Work Out Attention Deficit Disorder. I can't focus on one movement for very long and Ashley is great at keeping my mind busy and my workout fun.

Here are some pictures of me and Ashley working out in Central Park, this is when the workout is starting to end we are just doing the abb work out and stretching.

I have been really successful over the past months and plan on keeping it up! When I reach my goal of fitness I will put up some before and after pictures so you can see the progress!
